Was everything "good" before God created man? If so, why put that in jeopardy?

Now, not everything is good, agree? And before man, there was only God and his other creations (angels, etc.) and they were all totally good, right? Then man sinned and became the cause of everything that has ever been bad... am I beating this to death yet? I wish I had a shot of JD.
