Anyone Familiar with Lymphomic Portal Hepititus in Cats?

My cat was just diagnosed this morning with Lymphomic Portal Hepititus from a liver biopsy he had done. I am not so familiar with this and am looking for someone who may have had an experience with this? Deciding right now on treatment and want to know whats effective & recommended? Expectancy on life from diagnosis? Does chemo help.. my vet mentioned it may.... also prescribed Prednizone... but not sure of quality of life while on all these medicines. Any help and guidence would be greatly appreciated. I am heartbroken!
