How can i deal with a frequent bucking horse?

My horse buck, (named for his color, not his habit.) Is a serial bucker! he is nine and old enough to know better. And not only does he raise his back end when i'm on, he lifts his front end too. I'm terrified of getting hurt, i want to get him under control without injuring anyone. We lunge him before he is ridden, so i'm not sure what the exact problem is. I'm tempted to sell him to the rodeo and get myself an older horse. Any tips, opinoins, personal stories welcome!
