For those men who have had a vasectomy, question about pain?

My husband had a vasectomy 11 days ago. Still having issues with the incision healing and he's still in some pain. The past 3 days he's d and each time his pelvic area is in pain...he can only describe it as throbbing pain on the far left and right in the pelvic area. Also when he comes he says it feels like possibly the is pumping forcefully into his testicles or something like that...because of course the vas deferens is cut and the E has no where to go??? Does that make sense? So his question is - is the pain/pressure that he is feeling for at least 15 minutes after normal?
