If a mother watched her kids be abused for some 20 years?

There is never any reason to forgive such a thing. Mothers are supposed to protect their children, not watch while they are abused. I went through this myself. I was molested by cousins. When I told my mother first she denied it. Then she said, oh they were just playing. You must have misunderstood. She went so far as to say I must have done something to cause it. I was 9 when it started. NEVER did I forgive her, and as cruel as it sounds when she ped away in August of this year, I didn't shed any tears over it.
